Common questions
The confirmation email never arrived
Check your spam folder. Emails come from noreply@kiduvo.app via Resend. If it's still missing after 10 minutes, sign in attempts that have used a typo in the email will silently fail — try signing up again with the correct address. Still nothing? Email us and we'll resend manually.
Reminders aren't firing
Three things to check in order:
- Notifications permission — Android Settings → Apps → Kiduvo → Notifications → make sure it's enabled.
- Exact alarms permission — on Android 13 and newer, the app asks once for "Alarms & reminders" access. If you declined, go to Settings → Apps → Kiduvo → Special access → Alarms & reminders and toggle it on.
- Battery saver / Do not disturb — some manufacturers (Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei) aggressively kill background apps. Add Kiduvo to your battery whitelist: Settings → Battery → Background usage → Unrestricted.
How do I cancel my Premium subscription?
From the Kiduvo menu, tap Manage subscription. That opens your Google Play subscription page where you can cancel. You'll keep Premium access until the end of the period you've already paid for. We don't auto-rebill after cancellation.
I want to delete my account and all data
You can request deletion two ways:
- In-app — Account → Delete account. Walks you through confirmation and signs you out when complete.
- By email — send a request to proteabyte@gmail.com from the address on your account. We process within 30 days; backups are purged within a further 30 days.
How do I export my child's records?
Premium subscribers can tap Export PDF for doctor visit from the Documents tab. For a full data export including documents, email us — we package the data as a downloadable ZIP within 30 days.
I switched to imperial / metric and old records show wrong units
They don't — they show the same values converted. Kiduvo stores everything canonically in metric (°C, kg, cm), and converts on display only. Toggling the preference in Account → Units changes how *all* records are shown, including past ones. No data is altered.
The vaccine schedule for my country looks incomplete
Kiduvo has curated schedules for a handful of countries with WHO baseline elsewhere. If your country isn't curated yet, email us with your country and a link to your national EPI schedule — we prioritise countries with active users.
I want to report a bug or suggest a feature
Email proteabyte@gmail.com. We read every message. Bug reports go straight into the queue; feature suggestions are weighed against the roadmap.

For anything related to your personal information — access requests, corrections, deletions, or complaints — email proteabyte@gmail.com from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days as required by POPIA and GDPR. See the Privacy Policy for the full list of your rights.
